In 1933 a World's Fair was held in Chicago, celebrating a Century of Progress. Many large companies of the day exhibited at this Fair.  This is a collection of memorabilia from the Burlington Railroad.  All of these materials are approximately 85 years old.

Included in the collection is:

-A soft cover Burlington Railroad souvenir booklet of 24 pages. This booklet is profusely illustrated with pictures of  vintage railroad locamotives and rolling stock, scenic vistas of areas visited by the Burlington Railroad, interior shots of dining cars, etc., a complete route map as of 1933, and a panoramic centerfold of the Century of Progress Exposition.  The story of the line is told as well, including origins, history, and information about cities and scenic vacation spot destinations.

-a 3x5 cardboard menu card, featuring Burlington Special Dinners.  Wouldn't it be nice to be able to get a Prime Rib dinner with soup, potato, vegetable, salad, dessert and beverage for $0.90!  Vintage railroad menus are highly collectible and sought after by collectors.

-(6) postcards designed for mailing from the Century of Progress Exposition.  These cards feature Burlington mail cars, showing an original 1862 model, and an interior shot of a "modern" (in 1933) mail car.

-1 postcard showing different locomotives and facts about them which were displayed at the Burlington pavilion.
