The Boker Plus "M13" tactical fixed blade has been given the thumbs up by law enforcement, ex-military, and hobbyists all over the world. Designed by renowned blade smith DJ Urbanovsky. The new M13 has slightly heavier scales than it's predecessor. While the pronounced recurve blade fascinates with its compound grind, a blade grind with three layers. The pommel has an impact element and the extensive mill work in the tang, handle scales and spine facilitate the grip as much as the logo milled into the G10 scales. 440C is used as the blade steel. Stonewash blade finish. Shipped with kydex sheath and belt adapter.

Boker Plus M13 (DJ Urbanovsky design)

This is a solid, heavy-built, good looking knife, seemingly well suited to the tactical/self defense (I'd rate it as a defensive tool, primarily) tasks for which it was likely designed. It exhibits a heavy, deep bevel on edge, presumably to hold up to heavy use, though this kind of extreme bevel grind will be difficult for most folks to sharpen to a hair-splitting level without re-setting the bevel angle through one of a couple of different ways it can be achieved by and experienced hand. Nevertheless, sharpened further just as it is can result in an effectively dangerous enough tool for the tasks for which it was designed. Upon close examination, I'd estimate the blade to be an authentically high grade 440C, which is STILL a fine choice for blade construction, though over the decades many cheaper knives that claim "440C" are in fact NOT such. Boker has apparently done their due diligence in the selection and verification of steel for this one, however, and I STILL rate a true 440C as being a very fine choice, even in view of all of the latest "now and wow" steels that are touted, today . Solid execution, handsome design.
