This 1921-D Morgan Silver Dollar, produced by the Denver mint has been professionally graded as MS64+ Gem Unirculated. It is encapsulated in the tamper proof holder of the grading company. The Morgan Silver Dollar is the most famous coin in U.S. History. Identified with Old West history, it will live in the lore of our past forever. They were produced from 1878-1904, and again in 1921. Each Morgan Dollar contains roughly 3/4 ounce of pure silver. Back in olden times, before electronic bank transfers and the like, banks would receive sealed bags of silver dollars directly from the mint. Then if needed the bags would be opened and the coins distributed into commerce. But many bags of silver dollars remained sealed for decades, often being shipped from bank to bank to settle up accounts and the like. For that reason, it's still possible to buy a beautiful uncirculated silver dollar at a very reasonable price, far less than uncirculated examples of lower denomination coins sell for, because most of these lower denomination coins circulated and not nearly as many were preserved in uncirculated condition. We only have one of these available, so please don't order more than one. This item is not included in any promotions that may be in effect from time to time.
