We obtained this uncirculated 1828 Half Cent in an estate collection of high grade rare coins recently. As we were able to negotiate a good price on this purchase, we are passing the savings on to our customers to move these coins quickly. This is an 1828 U.S. Half Cent, which has been professionally graded as MS-64 high grade uncirculated. The coin is encapsulated in the tamper proof holder of the AGP grading company. As most coins of this type you encounter are heavily worn, it is nice to experience gazing upon this nearly 200 year old coin that looks the way it did the day it was minted, except of course the original copper red color has oxidized to the familiar brown seen in most copper coins. The red book value of this coin in MS63 condition is $600.00. It does not list a value for a higher grade than that. The Half Cent was one of the first coins made by the then new USA back in the late 18th century. The Half Cent was produced from 1793 through 1857. We only have one available, so please don't order more than one. This item is not included in any promotions that may be in effect from time to time.
