Smith & Wesson HRT Out the Front (OTF) Spring Assisted Knife/ Drop Point Blade

Smith & Wesson has now come out with its version of the OTF Spring Assist Knife. It works pretty much the same as a full auto (and illegal) front opening switchblade. It is legal because the opening stud is connected directly to the blade and is not a spring operated button. Just slide the stud forward, then the spring mechanism takes over and propels the blade out the front of the knife. To close, put your finger between the stud and the little button to the left, and slide back until the blade locks into the closed position. Safety on the side to prevent unwanted opening. Body of the knife is zytel, very lightweight, Drop point blade is black finished titanium nitride stainless steel. Blade is 3" long, overall knife is 7" opened. Also features a built in glass breaker on the end of the handle opposite the blade-a great feature for First Responders.
