During World War II, copper was desperately needed for the war effort, so the U.S. mint temporarily changed the composition of the Lincoln cent. These wartime cents are made of steel coated zinc. They are seldom seen today. We have been able to obtain a limited supply of thes scarce coins, and are offering them at our low prices while supplies last. All of these coins in our inventory are dated 1943, and condition on them range from average circulated to almost uncirculated.
