Made by all 3 U.S. Mints in operation at the time (Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco) from 1913-1938. Replaced in 1938 by the Jefferson nickel. Features a Native American in right profile on the obverse, and an American bison on the reverse. Due to the design of this coin, they did not wear well in circulation. Many of the surviving Buffalo nickels that are still around have the dates completely worn off. All Buffalo nickels in our inventory have a complete and legible date. Assorted dates and mint marks of our choice.
